AN APPEAL
3rd November, 2006
Oasis international school was among the first few Muslim-managed school in India to receive affiliation to the University of Cambridge. To ensure our students have wider options, we plan to seek ICSE recognition as well. However, ICSE Board insists as one of its pre-conditions, that schools seeking recognition must be built on at-least 2 acres of land. But, these are extremely difficult times in Bangalore as far as price of real-estate is concerned. By the Grace of Allah[swt] we have identified a 3-Acre land 10 Kms. from the Ring Road, off Hennur Road, the price for which has been negotiated for a total sum of Rs. 1,80,00,000/- (One Crore Eighty Lakhs only). However, we have to make the payment on or before 12th November, 2006. We have to raise the required amount soon, because the prices are continuing to surge with each passing day.
As is known, The Management of the School - Isra Trust - is a not-for-profit body and all its trustees work in an honorary capacity. In case we are not able to raise the required money, we will have to take on board a financial partner. We are against partnering with any commercial organization since it would raise the cost of education for students. This is against our ethos, which is to provide affordable, quality education.
We at Oasis humbly request you to help this noble cause and consider as a personal responsibility towards the community thereby benefitting generations of students to come. Your contribution will be much appreciated and Allah will certainly reward you for your generosity and magnanimity.
“The likeliness of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah, is as the likeliness of a grain of corn; it grows seven ears and each ear has a hundred grains. Allah gives manifold increase to whom He wills. And Allah is All-Sufficient for His creatures’ needs, All-Knower” (Al-Quran 2:261)
We look forward to your contributions in the form of donations [any amount] or soft loans [minimum of five lakhs] which will be repaid in 5 equal annual installments.
All contributions are exempt from Income Tax under section 80 G of the I.T. Act. Cheques are to be drawn in favour of Isra Trust.
Looking forward to your active support in furthering our mission and shouldering a common cause.
for ISRA TRUST.
